Welcome to Robinwood Photography, formally Susan Wolfer Photography, I'm happy you're here! My name is Susan Wolfer and I live in Round Rock, Texas with my fiance', 2 daughters and our dogs, Shasta, Chanel and Bubba. We have a house full of love! I am passionate about spending time with my family and friends, crafts, cooking, Girl Scouts, live music and of course, photography.

As a child I couldn’t wait to see the Polaroid develop. My father and grandfather were always in charge of the family photography. Nothing thrilled me more than going with my father to pick up a roll of film. I became passionate about taking pictures when my first daughter was born. I had a ready made model and a new camera. I received my first SLR camera in 2000 and I now recently bought my 3rd! I have my camera with me most of the time and I love looking for the next great photo!

I feel that photographs capture moments in the continuum of the world. I strive to capture a moment that might be missed if I wasn’t there with the camera. I look back at the photos in my daughters’ scrapbooks and I am taken back to that moment. Sometimes I find myself tearing up because I find the emotions just as fresh and new. My goal is for my clients to have the same emotions. I strive to capture my subject’s personality through my shot, to grab the little missed moments between shots when their guard is down and their true expressions are shown.

While mostly self-taught, I owe much of my knowledge to wonderful photographers who have taught workshops, lead discussions and mentored me along my journey. I am currently enrolled in the Professional Photographer's Course through the New York Institute of Photography. I enjoy the challenges of the course and the projects assigned. I feel with this training I can take my photography to the next level.

My personal style is different that a traditional portrait sessions you might have had before. I tend to look for a shot that will show my subject in a relaxed and comfortable light. I also realize that my style is constantly evolving with each subject I photograph….so no two photos will ever be the same. Please feel free to view my work.
